20250507KP0924DES PLAINES – State Senator Laura Murphy secured more than $80 million for Rebuild Illinois infrastructure projects in the 28th Senate District.

“Roads, bridges and pathways are essential to keeping our community vibrant and growing as they intersect with business, pleasure and recreation,” said Murphy (D-Des Plaines). “These projects will keep our transportation infrastructure safe and reliable for all.”

The largest multi-year program to build and repair infrastructure in state history will invest $50.6 billion over six years, continuing an unprecedented investment in safety, mobility and quality of life made possible by the bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital program. IDOT’s new multi-year program is both comprehensive and multimodal, with investments in roads and bridges, aviation, transit, freight and passenger rail, waterways, and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations touching every Illinois county.

As part of IDOT’s latest Multi-Year Plan under Rebuild Illinois, Murphy’s district will receive over $80 million for 12 different projects.
