DES PLAINES – State Senator Laura Murphy will be hosting a senior fraud seminar on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Niles Senior Center.
“With the continual evolution of technology and internet scams, it is important that we raise awareness with everyone in our community,” said Murphy (D-Des Plaines). “Older adults are often the most vulnerable to these scams and fraud schemes, so it is crucial that we educate and keep them informed on how to protect themselves.”
During this seminar, attendees will hear from AARP about common scams, senior fraud awareness, scam prevention and online safety. Light refreshments will be provided.
